RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider Lead for the Neurosurgery APP service line. The role involves responsibilities across ICU, floor, and operating room, with opportunities to lead, educate, and support new staff. It requires NJ licensure, NP/PA credentials, and a strong neurosurgery background, with a mix of clinical and administrative duties across all shifts.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Family NP program with demonstrated experience with acute inpatient hospital care
• Graduate of RNFA program with demonstrated skill in neurosurgery
• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
• 3-7 years of demonstrated high functioning neurosurgery experience at a large academic center is preferred
• Demonstrated leadership role in the past preferred
• Experience with working at the top of license with autonomy in all clinical areas is required

Responsibilities

• Lead APP will work with the leadership team to help manage day-to-day operations of the neurosurgery service
• Must be comfortable working in all areas and grow as a leader while supporting new staff
• Provide administrative support and oversight of training new staff and education on topics such as bedside invasive procedures e.g., EVD placement
• Clinical position with 80% clinical and 20% administrative duties
• Emphasis on growing the service line and supporting operational initiatives of the neurosciences division
• Clinical work will include supporting all shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Summary:
