Job Summary

RWJBH is seeking a full-time variable days/night/weekends/holidays Advanced Practice Provider in the Vascular Surgery department at the New Brunswick campus,

Essential Functions

  • The focus of this role is inpatient pre-op and post-op management
  • Performing vascular consults and facilitating patient throughput with proper discharge planning is essential
  • Providing wound care and other bedside procedures will also be expected
  • While this is a surgical service there will be no operating room responsibilities
  • Candidate should possess effective time management and patient assessment skills
  • Must be able to adapt and adjust to a large volume acute patient population
  • Must be able to assess and present critical patient concerns in a clear and concise manner
  • Must be able to work collegially with the surgical resident team,

Education

  • Graduate from NP program with certification in Acute care, or Adult with previous inpatient surgical experience
  • Physician Assistants need to have graduated from accredited PA program,

Experience

  • 0-3 years of inpatient surgical experience
  • Willing to consider new graduates with a desire for surgical patient management with no operating room responsibilities
