Sentara Medical Group is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to support our Electrophysiology Cardiology service line. The role involves inpatient and outpatient EP care with autonomy within a collaborative team of physicians and APPs.

The position focuses on surgical and procedural responsibilities, including first-assist in EP procedures, cardioversions, loop implants, and ablations. It features a four ten-hour day schedule, weekend rounding, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Certified Advanced Practice Provider with EP experience preferred.
• Experience with first-assist in EP procedures and autonomously performing access/closure is desirable.
• Inpatient and outpatient EP care with a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient and outpatient EP care with first-assist responsibilities.
• Perform cardioversions and loop implants; provide EP procedure support.
• Independently assist in ablations and vascular access/closure as needed.
• Weekend rounding every fifth weekend (Sat-Sun 7am–11am).
• Phone-based call only (1 day every 3 weeks).
• Collaborate with 9 physicians and 14 APPs across three Sentara locations.

Join Sentara Medical Group as an Advanced Practice Provider supporting our Electrophysiology Cardiology service line. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside a highly skilled, collaborative team of physicians and APPs while providing high quality care to adult EP patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This is a surgical and procedural focused role with meaningful autonomy and a strong support structure.

Position Highlights

• Full time schedule, four ten hour days, Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  Inpatient and outpatient role with approximately 70 percent inpatient and 30 percent outpatient responsibilities
• Average weekly patient volumes include 20 patients in the clinic and 50 patients in the hospital
• Electrophysiology focused care, including first assist responsibilities
• Procedures include cardioversions and loop implants performed independently, first assist in ablations, and performing access and closure independently
• Weekend rounding required every fifth weekend. Hours are Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.
• Call requirements: phone based only with no in-house coverage (1 day every 3 weeks).
• Team consists of 9 physicians and 14 Advanced Practice Providers

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $115,315.20 - $312,000.00 annually. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
