Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting an experienced Adult Social Worker to join the Learning Disability Team at Somerset.

Responsible for a case load of varying complexity, commensurate with ability and qualifications, receiving and responding to referrals from various sources.

Responsibilities

• Community Care, integrated care programme approach and risk assessment to work to protect the safety and protection of individuals.
• Statutory reviews and comply with appropriate legislation, policy and procedures.
• Assess client needs in consultation with the mand and with other professionals and agreed levels of support.
• The need to engage with people refusing a service who are at risk to self or others.
• The need for sensitive negotiation when assessing service users and carers where there is conflict or lack of insight.
• Effectively manage people presenting in crisis needing a quick resolution, using relevant legislation and resources.
• Statutory responsibility for the assessment of carers (including young carers) needs and the formulation of a carer's care plan.

Requirements

• Professional Qualification: A recognised professional qualification in social work, such as an MA, BA, BSc in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work, or CQSW (Certificate of Qualification in Social Work).
• Registration: Must be registered with Social Work England, the regulatory body for social workers in England.
• Experience: 2+ years post-qualified experience as an adult social worker in a statutory setting.
• Knowledge of Legislation: Thorough understanding of relevant legislation, such as the Care Act 2014 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
• Skills: Strong assessment and analysis skills, as well as the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Driving Licence: A full UK driving licence and access to a car are often required for client visits.
