Job summary

The Jefferson County Library's Northwest Branch is seeking a part-time Adult Services clerk to assist with technology, research, and community programming. The role includes providing technical support for patrons, connecting them to resources, and curating adult programs. Ideal candidates possess strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with a commitment to delivering high-quality service in a fast-paced library setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent, plus 60 college credit hours or four years related experience.
• Familiarity with personal technologies (phones, tablets, computers, etc.) is a plus.
• Must pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical help to patrons regarding personal devices and library content apps.
• Connect patrons with research tools for reference questions.
• Curate community-relevant programs for adult members.
• Market programs and represent the library in the community.
• Serve as a passport agent.
