Job summary

Contra Costa County Behavioral Health Services seeks a board-eligible/certified Adult Psychiatrist to serve in one of our regional behavioral health clinics - San Pablo, Concord, and Antioch. The position is part-time to full-time with a competitive annual salary and pathway options including County Employee benefits or Independent Contractor arrangement.

Qualifications

• Board Certification or completion of an accredited psychiatric residency program.
• License to practice medicine or osteopathy in the State of California.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and medical ethics.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric assessments (90 minutes) and follow-up visits (30 minutes).
• Create treatment plans and prescribe medications.
• Coordinate with consulting medical specialists.
• Act as physician member of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Conferring with relatives and loved ones of patients.
• Maintain electronic records according to BHS standards.
