Job summary

County of San Mateo Health’s Aging and Disability Services Division seeks a Social Work Supervisor to lead Adult Protective Services quality improvement efforts. The supervisor will conduct quality case reviews, track performance measures, and support compliance with state and county standards.

Ideal candidate demonstrates strong APS knowledge, assessment skills, and the ability to mentor staff. The role requires collaboration across teams and travel for interviews and training.

Qualifications

• Strong assessment skills with interviews and document review.
• Deep knowledge of Adult Protective Services (APS) policies and practices.
• Ability to review records objectively, identify risks and trends, and provide recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Lead qualitative case reviews and OSRI processes.
• Develop and implement CQI projects to improve service delivery.
• Train and mentor social workers in case review and QA practices.
• Plan, direct, and evaluate work of assigned staff.
• Monitor data to ensure regulatory compliance and program effectiveness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and partner agencies.
