Job summary

University of Maine at Fort Kent is seeking an Adult Learner Recruitment Counselor (ALRC) to facilitate enrollment in the adult degree completion program. The ALRC leads admissions, recruitment, and enrollment advising and provides marketing data for strategic planning, acting as the primary contact for prospective adult learners from inquiry to enrollment.

The on-campus position may require occasional evenings, weekends, and travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in education, communications, marketing, business administration, or related field.
• 3-5 years of related experience, with at least one year in enrollment management, student recruitment, or higher education.
• Ability to travel and work a flexible schedule including evenings/weekends as needed.
• Commitment to diversity and equity; strong writing and speaking skills.

Responsibilities

• Recruit students by managing geographic territories and conducting recruitment presentations at schools, fairs, and events.
• Guide prospective students through the application process from inquiry to enrollment.
• Build relationships with internal and external contacts focused on adult degree completion.
• Collect and analyze enrollment data to support grant tracking and strategic planning.
