Job summary

Kitsap Mental Health Services is seeking an Inpatient Shift Supervisor for the Adult Inpatient Unit. You will supervise Behavioral Health Technicians, coordinate with clinical teams, and balance staff support with risk management to ensure high-quality care for adults.

You will oversee staffing, admissions, and therapeutic programming, while modeling trauma-informed care and professional boundaries in a fast-paced inpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with relevant work experience.
• Experience supervising staff in behavioral health settings preferred.
• Knowledge of de-escalation and trauma-informed care practices.
• Must have licensure as an Agency Affiliated Counselor or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Behavioral Health Technicians including coaching and evaluations.
• Lead onboarding and ongoing staff development and coaching.
• Coordinate staffing per shift based on acuity and protocol.
• Maintain milieu safety and participate in de-escalation strategies.
• Coordinate with clinical teams and complete pass-down communications.
