Job summary

Soundly Speaking is seeking a part-time Speech Language Pathologist-Assistant to work with adult IDD clients in the Austin, TX area. The role involves traveling to clients' homes to provide tailored therapy, documenting visits, and coordinating with families and case managers to share updates.

Licensed as a Texas SLP-Assistant and meeting the required clinical hours are essential. The position also involves using provided resources in therapy, HIPAA compliance, and timely paperwork submission.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn on the job and augment provided materials.
• Texas-issued Speech Language Pathologist-Assistant License.
• 25 Clinical and 25 Observation TDLR-approved hours required for Texas license.

Responsibilities

• Traveling to clients’ homes to provide individually tailored therapy.
• Documenting therapy visits and contacting families and case managers to share updates.
• Utilizing and augmenting the resources provided for use in therapy.
• Treat a wide range of speech and language disorders.
• Provide detailed therapy to achieve short and long term goals as part of a comprehensive treatment plan.
• Turn in paperwork within a 24 hour timeline.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient records per HIPAA, State, and Federal regulations.
• Communicate with families and case managers about therapy progression.
