Adult Hand, Upper Extremity and Musculoskeletal Reconstruction Surgeon (ACADEMIC POSITION)

Assistant, Associate, Full professor levels
The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco is recruiting a board-certified or eligible, hand fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon with an interest in upper extremity reconstruction and microvascular free tissue transfer. A secondary trauma fellowship or shoulder-elbow fellowship experience is desirable but not required. The candidate will provide diagnostic and interventional management across the full spectrum of musculoskeletal diagnoses for adult populations, with a focus on trauma reconstruction of musculoskeletal injuries.
The appointed candidate will hold a faculty position at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level within the Health Sciences (HS) Clinical, Clinical X, or In Residence series, depending on experience and qualifications.
The position involves collaboration in research leading to peer-reviewed publications, as well as participation in teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, trauma, and hand fellows. The role is based at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (Level 1 trauma center) and Washington Hospital in Fremont (Level 2 trauma center).

The salary is based on the UC scales, with a minimum of $149,700 and a maximum of $393,200, depending on rank and experience. The position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan, which allows for additional compensation. The final salary will be negotiated at the time of offer.
