Job summary

Minnetonka Community Education is seeking enthusiastic fitness instructors to lead adult classes across a range of formats. Instructors may propose new classes and teach formats such as group fitness, yoga, cardio, and mindfulness-based movement. Schedule is flexible based on program needs.

Compensation is a stipend and not benefit eligible. Postings remain open until filled. Current CPR/First Aid certification is preferred; experience with adult learners is valued.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching group fitness, wellness, or movement-based programs.
• Demonstrated ability to engage and motivate adult learners.
• Knowledge of safe exercise practices and injury prevention.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead safe, engaging, and inclusive fitness classes for adult participants.
• Create class outlines, routines, and instructional materials for varying skill levels.
• Demonstrate proper techniques and provide modifications for different abilities.
• Foster a positive, welcoming learning environment.
• Monitor participant safety and respond to emergencies.
• Communicate effectively with participants and staff.
• Maintain professionalism, reliability, and confidentiality.
• Ensure equipment and spaces are used safely and responsibly.
