Job summary

The Ladder Method is seeking a compassionate, structured Adult Executive Functioning Coach to support our adult clients—ranging from young professionals to seasoned executives—in developing systems for time management, organization, productivity, and goal setting.

The role is part-time (approximately 10-15 hours/week), remote, with a flexible schedule and ongoing training. A BA/BS in a related field plus experience in psychology, counseling, or education are required; master's level is a plus.

  • Firm boundaries with clients.
  • Experience working with neurodivergent individuals (ADHD, etc.).
  • Strong interpersonal, time management, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Coach adult clients 1-on-1 (virtual) using The Ladder Method’s curriculum and methodology.
  • Guide clients in improving time management, task initiation, planning, organization, and follow-through.
  • Help clients establish and maintain systems that support their personal and professional goals.
  • Provide accountability, motivation, and mindset coaching tailored to individual client needs.
  • Document progress and communicate regularly with the internal team.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism, empathy, and discretion.

This is a part time position, approximately 10-15 hours a week. Hours depend on nature of requests.

The Ladder Method is a leading learning methodology company specializing in Executive Functioning Coaching. Since 2008, we’ve helped students and adults develop the foundational skills and habits needed to succeed in academics, careers, and personal growth. Our coaching combines executive functioning training, social-emotional support, and habit-building—backed by research and proven results.

Certification & Training Requirements For This Position - PLEASE READ

To become a certified Adult Executive Functioning Coach through The Ladder Method, candidates will complete a comprehensive training program at a cost of $2,997. Training runs over 6-7 Sundays, culminating in a certification exam. As part of this program, participants receive 4-5 hours of direct training from Candice Lapin, founder of The Ladder Method, covering both how to run a coaching business and how she operates TLM. The curriculum includes 36 learning targets, and upon successful completion, coaches will be certified in our proprietary system. A small licensing fee also applies for coaches who wish to use TLM materials outside of clients through The Ladder Method.

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate, structured, and skilled Adult Executive Functioning Coach to support our adult clients—ranging from young professionals to seasoned executives—in developing systems for time management, organization, productivity, and goal setting.

The ideal candidate has a passion for helping others grow, a deep understanding of executive functioning challenges (such as procrastination, overwhelm, ADHD, and work-life balance), and a talent for turning chaos into clarity.

We are looking for coaches who have a background in psychology, social work, or educational therapy and have very firm boundaries with clients.

We are looking for MFTs, CSWs, counselors, and coaches with a background in Clinical or Educational Psychology.

  • Strong understanding of executive functioning and how it impacts adult learning and productivity
  • Excellent interpersonal, time management, and communication skills
  • Ability to build rapport quickly and work with clients from diverse backgrounds
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage your own schedule
  • Experience working with neurodivergent individuals (ADHD, anxiety, etc.)
  • Experience serving high-net-worth clients is a plus
  • Must be available for at least 10 hours/week to start, with availability on multiple days (our clients tend to meet 2x per week—Sun/Mon/Tue and Wed/Thu/Fri)
