Job summary

Full Life Care is hiring an Activities Aide/Program Assistant to support our adult day health program in Seattle. You will provide personal care and help facilitate therapeutic group activities for clients, in partnership with caregivers and the care team.

The role supports client independence and a safe group environment, with duties including activity facilitation and light kitchen tasks. Requires a high school diploma; HIV/AIDS course and screenings may be completed after hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in a health or social services setting is a plus but not required.
• HIV/AIDS information course can be completed after hire.
• Annual flu vaccination required (medical or religious exemptions accepted).
• Background check, drug screen, and other pre-employment screenings may include physical, TB test, and fingerprinting per state/local guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Build a caring relationship with clients to assist with their needs and goals, collaborating with caregivers and team members to support care plans.
• Maintain care by observing and communicating changes in client condition.
• Promote a safe and healthy environment for the client.
• Promote client independence, guide education, and encourage engagement by leading activities that clients enjoy.
• Support a respectful and engaging group environment.
• Monitor participation in activities and provide support as needed.
• Assist with kitchen duties such as meal prep, food service, and dishwashing.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
