Main Purpose of Job
The candidate will create a classroom environment where students make measurable progress towards goals, such as earning a Maryland Certificate of Achievement in Adult Literacy and Life Skills or a Maryland High School Diploma.
POSITION DUTIES
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: facilitating learning, lesson planning, participating in professional development and meetings, and other duties assigned by the principal or academic coordinator.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: Six years of planning and conducting employee development and training.
Notes: 1. A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and two years of related experience may substitute for the required experience.
2. Military service in education and training roles may substitute on a year-for-year basis.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Two years of adult education or ESL experience.

BENEFITS
Contractual employees working 30+ hours weekly may be eligible for subsidized health benefits, paying 25% of premiums. Other benefits include dental, life, and accidental death insurance. Leave accrual is at one hour per 30 hours worked, up to 40 hours annually.
