Job Overview

Position Title: ADRC Transportation Specialist/Resource Counselor

Division: ADS

Location: Florence

Exempt Status: Non-Exempt

Supervisor: ADS Administrative and Financial Manager

Position Purpose: This role involves providing access and coordination of transportation services for the Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC), performed under general supervision.

Salary Range

$40,000 to $42,000

Responsibilities/Duties
  • Screen consumers for transportation issues
  • Coordinate transportation services for older adults, individuals with disabilities, and low-income individuals
  • Provide travel training and trip planning activities
  • Coordinate travel information
  • Manage eligibility requirements for transportation programs
  • Identify long-term support options, counsel, refer, and assist with system navigation
  • Provide information and referrals to consumers and professionals
  • Follow-up with consumers via telephone to ensure satisfaction
  • Assist with program operations as needed
  • Handle initial contact with the public and service providers via phone, email, walk-in, and internal communication
  • Engage in interpersonal communication with clients, staff, and agency bodies
  • Collaborate with staff to develop and maintain electronic databases of services and programs
  • Complete tasks reliably and analyze information regularly
Additional Duties
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field preferred
  • High School Diploma/GED with 1 year of experience in transportation scheduling, coordination, and customer service
  • Knowledge of older adult and disability populations is a plus

Work Environment

Primarily indoors in an office setting, involving computer and phone use, some travel, and coverage of a call line during business hours. Valid driver’s license required.
