Qualifications

• Associate degree in Human Services, Social Science or Criminal Justice with two years of related work experience.
• Experience with youth and diverse populations is preferred.
• Knowledge of ADR and court processes is advantageous.
• Ability to obtain mediator certification and complete training.

Responsibilities

• Respond to referrals from courts, government agencies, schools, and others.
• Administer hearings for the SDMC program.
• Maintain confidential case files and caseloads.
• Schedule mediations and prepare required documentation.
• Communicate with parties and referral sources efficiently.
• Support supervision of volunteer mediators.
• Review agreements and assist with follow-up referrals.
