Job summary

The Center at Advocate in Boston, MA is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the Director of Nursing in managing nursing services, ensuring high-quality, resident-centered care and compliance with CMS, DPH, and local regulations.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in good standing (Massachusetts)
• BSN preferred; ADN with relevant experience considered
• Minimum 3–5 years of clinical LTC experience with supervisory exposure
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Familiarity with CMS, 105 CMR, and regulatory requirements

Responsibilities

• Assist DON in planning, organizing, and directing day-to-day Nursing Department operations
• Supervise nursing personnel and ensure appropriate staffing levels
• Recruitment, hiring, orientation, and performance evaluations of staff
• Mentor and coach charge nurses and CNAs to support growth and retention
• Oversee infection prevention, care plans, documentation, and QAPI initiatives
• Participate in care plan meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions
• Develop and deliver staff education and in-service programs
• Assist with state surveys and regulatory inspections
