Job summary

Whispering Pines Lodge is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to lead clinical operations, support staff, and ensure high-quality resident care. The role emphasizes strong clinical judgment, collaboration, and regulatory compliance in a dynamic long-term care setting.

The ADON will oversee staffing, care planning, infection control, and documentation, partnering with physicians and teams to design individualized care plans and maintain excellent standards of care.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed nurse in good standing with the State Board of Nursing.
• Proven leadership/management experience in a healthcare setting.
• Background in geriatric or long-term care nursing preferred.
• Solid understanding of nursing home regulations and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Support staffing needs and cover floor staffing when needed.
• Oversee resident care, including MDS, care planning, PI, and infection control programs.
• Hire, train, evaluate, assign, and delegate nursing duties based on census and budget.
• Ensure accurate, up-to-date resident documentation and records.

We’re seeking a dedicated and reliable Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our team! This leadership role plays a vital part in ensuring quality resident care, staff support, and regulatory compliance. Success in this position requires dependability, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to multitask and collaborate in a dynamic environment.

Your Impact as an Assistant Director of Nursing

In this role, you will:

Support Staffing Needs: Step in to assist floor staffing when needed

Oversee Resident Care: Contribute to MDS, care planning, Performance Improvement, and Infection Control programs

Manage Nursing Staff: Hire, train, evaluate, assign, and delegate nursing duties based on census and budget needs

Ensure Accurate Documentation: Review and maintain up-to-date and accurate resident records

Develop Care Plans: Collaborate with physicians, nursing teams, and consultants to design individualized care plans

Support Staff Resources: Ensure timely access to equipment, supplies, and other care resources

Uphold Infection Control: Conduct assessments and implement effective infection control measures
