ADON (Assistant Director of Nursing) / Wound Care Registered Nurse

Sayville Rehabilitation and Healing Center is looking for a talented and hard-working ADON/Wound Care Nurse to join their team! The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge in long term wound care in a nursing & rehab facility.

ADON (Assistant Director of Nursing) / Wound Care Registered Nurse Duties Include but are not limited to:

Assist the DNS with management responsibilities and in maintaining the quality of care

Assist with compliance and ensure effective communication with all levels of nursing staff

Responsible for accurate and timely documentation of wounds in the nurse's notes at least weekly

Responsible for the accurate and timely completion of medical records

Responsible for all treatments required by licensed nurse on your shift and ensuring the wound care treatments are carried out at other times.

Evaluate high risk patients for pressure reduction interventions methods

Conduct body assessments and documentation on all new admissions per policy

Round with doctors weekly to assist with assessing residents

Overseeing daily staffing process

ADON (Assistant Director of Nursing) / Wound Care Registered Nurse Requirements/Qualifications:

Must be a self starter, hard working and dedicated professional willing to join our team.

Minimum 3 Year Experience In Long-Term Care Setting.

Current and valid RN license in the State of NY

Active CPR Certificate

Excellent communication skills

Experience In LTC Preferred But Not Required

Positive attitude and a team player

The salary for this position is negotiable and will depend on experience and qualifications; a full benefits package will also be included.

Salary Range: Up to $115,000 a year
