Job summary

Muir Wood Teen Treatment in Sonoma County, CA, seeks a full-time therapist to provide individual, family, and group therapy for teens 12–17 in residential programs. Work with psychiatrists, nurses, and clinicians in a collaborative setting to address mental health and substance use challenges.

Transition from cross-campus support to a permanent campus role. Eligible candidates hold a California license (LMFT/LCSW/LPCC or psychologist) or associate registration, with experience in adolescent

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate in psychology, counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, or related clinical field.
• California clinical license (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, or psychologist license) or associate registration.
• Experience with adolescents in mental health, substance use, or behavioral health settings; practicum/internship accepted.
• Experience facilitating therapeutic groups.
• Understanding of trauma-informed care and at least one evidence-based modality.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, family, and group therapy using evidence-based approaches (DBT, CBT, ACT, trauma-focused).
• Engage with teens in residential milieu to build rapport, support regulation, and reinforce clinical skills.
• Conduct biopsychosocial and risk assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, staff, and clinical leadership.
• Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation.
• Participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning and family care coordination.
• Participate in rotating on-call schedule and crisis support as needed.
• Initially support multiple Sonoma County programs before permanent campus assignment.
