Astra Mental Health and Recovery seeks a dedicated Alcohol and Drug Counselor to provide individual, family and group counseling to adolescents and families in Topeka. You will collaborate with a treatment team to set goals, discharge criteria and care plans.

Responsibilities include SUD counseling, documentation, and coordination with healthcare professionals. The role requires KS licensure and a driving presence for local travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Master's degree in human services or related field.
• Licensed in Kansas as LAC or LMAC in good standing.
• Must pass KBI, DCF, KDADS or background checks as required.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license, a good driving record, current auto insurance and reliable transportation.

Responsabilités

• Provide individual, family and group SUD counseling to youth and their families.
• Develop and manage appropriate treatment and recovery plans.
• Coordinate counseling efforts with mental health professionals or other health professionals.
• Complete clinical documentation (assessments, progress notes, CSR) within required timeframes.
• Attend required trainings and maintain CEU’s.
