Job summary

Highland Rivers Behavioral Health is recruiting for a Residential Care Technician to support adolescents in a gender-specific, trauma-responsive treatment program in Georgia. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor progress, and run life skills groups to foster recovery and independence.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, and at least one year of related care experience or an associate degree in a related field.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Gender-specific program requires female staff.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Minimum 1 year providing social or direct care services in a human service setting or an associate's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Human Services, Criminology, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities and provide support in a 24/7 residential trauma-responsive facility to ensure safety and wellbeing.
• Prepare and maintain records of individuals’ progress and report changes to supervisor.
• Facilitate life skills groups covering hygiene, nutrition, money management, and interpersonal skills.
• Provide structured activities to promote socialization, recovery, wellness, self-advocacy and community living skills.
• Monitor urinalysis drug screens and medication self-administration per policy.
• Provide transportation to appointments and activities in the community.
• Deliver high quality, compassionate, and ethical services to improve program and organizational performance.
• Assist with service-related compliance and crisis stabilization as needed.
• Support during census/acuity surges and emergencies.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and agency policies.
