OpenTrain is seeking an Adolescent Safeguarding and Exploitation Risk Specialist for AI training work focused on Child Safeguarding Risk Assessment. You will use real-world safeguarding knowledge, written risk-assessment guidance, and recognised professional frameworks to produce clear, defensible assessments for non-specialist audiences.
This is a remote, part-time contractor opportunity requiring 20 or more hours per week. The listed compensation range is $45 to $95 USD per hour, with workload, scheduling, and final project terms determined by the engagement.
You will review complex adolescent cases involving sexual safety, child sexual exploitation, and abuse risks. Your written work must be carefully reasoned, research-grade, and grounded in applicable safeguarding practice.
You will also benchmark assessments against peer standards and established protocols while applying trauma-informed judgment to adolescent development, capacity, and consent.
Relevant professional, academic, or clinical expertise in Child Safeguarding Risk Assessment is required. Candidates should have 3 to 5 or more years of post-qualification experience in child safeguarding, adolescent protection, or a relevant clinical role, together with current or recent adolescent caseload or safeguarding practice.
An active clinical license or professional registration in good standing is required. Strong written English, careful attention to detail, defensible documentation, and the ability to follow detailed project guidelines are essential.
Relevant backgrounds may include child protection, forensic child or adolescent psychiatry or psychology, and paediatric medicine with a safeguarding remit. Experience in a designated safeguarding or expert-witness capacity is valuable, as is familiarity with ACEs and trauma frameworks.
The role is marked entry level within the project structure, but it requires substantial post-qualification safeguarding or clinical expertise. AI training experience is not a prerequisite.
