Job summary

The South Dakota Human Services Center in Yankton seeks a board eligible/board certified Psychiatrist to provide psychiatric evaluation, care, treatment, and rehabilitation for adolescent patients. This is a full-time 40-hour weekly position.

Duties include diagnosing, directing treatment plans, prescribing medications, monitoring progress, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Must be licensed to practice medicine in South Dakota; E-Verify is used.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed to practice medicine in the State of South Dakota.
• Board eligible or board certified in Psychiatry.
• Experience or ability to treat adolescent patients in a hospital setting.
• Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and to collaborate with colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and classify mental disorders in adolescents.
• Establish and direct treatment plans for adolescent patients.
• Prescribe medications and monitor therapeutic progress.
• Instruct medical students and provide consultations as requested.
