Job summary

Sheppard Pratt is seeking a Mental Health Worker to support the Co-Ed Adolescent Mood Disorder Unit on a per diem, part-time basis in Towson, MD. Shift flexibility includes 12-hour days and nights, with weekend availability.

Under the supervision of a licensed nurse, you will help plan and evaluate patient needs, participate in orientation and training, and contribute to a multidisciplinary team dedicated to patient stabilization and care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Advanced degree in a human services field strongly preferred, either in progress or already obtained.
• Past direct care or related experience strongly preferred.
• For most positions, must be available to work every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday).

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and evaluating patient needs based on behaviors and conditions.
• Work under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Participate in extended clinical orientation and training after first day.
• Available to work 12-hour shifts days and nights, including weekends.
