Job summary

Dartmouth Health's Department of Psychiatry seeks a full-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner based at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington, VT, for a new inpatient adolescent unit.

The role features an alternating schedule with occasional night and weekend coverage, a collaborative, interdisciplinary team, and opportunities for clinical supervision, precepting, and teaching within our APRN and psychiatric education programs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited APRN program.
• National specialty certification as Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Eligible for RN licensure in NH, APRN licensure in NH, and Federal DEA Registration; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide state-of-the-art inpatient psychiatric care to adolescents aged 12-17 in an inpatient setting.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of nurses, social workers, therapists, psychiatrists, and medical providers.
• Possibility for clinical supervision, precepting, and didactic teaching within APRN and psychiatric education programs.
