Job summary

The Locums Company is seeking a Physician (Contract/1099/Independent Contractor) to provide medical care to student patients at Wellness Clinic Youth Center in Hartford, CT. This on-site role is part-time, 7.5 hours per week, with a day-shift schedule from Monday to Friday and no weekend obligations.

Candidates must hold an active CT medical license and a valid Federal DEA license, with experience in adolescent healthcare and procedures.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted CT medical license.
• Experience in adolescent health care and prescribing medications.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Prior locums physician experience is a plus.
• Valid Federal DEA license.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care to student patients in accordance with specialty and expertise.
• Collaborate with the center's medical staff, wellness staff and substance abuse specialists as necessary.
• Work on-site as a locums physician under contract and maintain professional liability insurance.
