Job summary

Shorewood Behavioral Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to care for adolescent patients aged 11-17 in our behavioral health unit. The role includes assessing medical and behavioral health needs, developing care plans, and coordinating with families and the treatment team.

Shifts include days and evenings with differential pay; weekend hours have higher differential. Prior psychiatric/behavioral nursing experience is a plus, with RN licensure and CPR/de-escalation certifications required.

Qualifications

Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
Current RN license for the state of employment or eligibility.
One year of nursing experience; psychiatric/behavioral experience a plus.
CPR and de-escalation and restraint certifications required.
First aid may be required by state or facility.

Responsibilities

Provide and coordinate care by assessing patients’ physical and behavioral health needs.
Develop and implement nursing care plans.
Maintain medical records and educate patients and their families about conditions.
Administer medications per orders and document controlled substances.
Communicate professionally with patients, families, and the care team.
