Job summary

Nexus Neurorecovery Center – San Antonio is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive medical care for adolescent females in a residential treatment setting. This role works under the Medical Director to address medical needs consistently across the stay.

You will collaborate with psychiatric and nursing staff, deliver trauma-informed care, and manage medications while supporting treatment goals and family communication.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in nursing with completion of a Family Nurse Practitioner program, or a graduate nursing degree with a post-master’s FNP certificate.
• Active Texas RN license or multistate privilege and Texas APRN licensure as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Current national certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
• Prescriptive authority appropriate to assigned responsibilities.
• Current BLS certification and completion of required behavioral management training.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care, health assessments, and management of acute and chronic conditions for adolescent residents.
• Collaborate with psychiatric providers and interdisciplinary team to coordinate care.
• Prescribe and manage medications within scope and facility guidelines.
• Document assessments, plans, and resident progress accurately and timely.
• Support discharge planning and continuity of medical care post-visit.
