Job Summary (Adobe Experience Platform Specialist – Remote)

  • Role: Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) Specialist
  • Location: Remote, preference for candidates near a office (work PST hours)
  • Interview Process: 1-2 internal video interviews
  • Industry: Travel & Hospitality or Retail experience preferred (not required)

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical expert for Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), guiding the development and configuration of data pipelines, schemas, and identity resolution.
  • Provide hands-on support and architectural leadership for AEP data ingestion, transformation, and activation (across RTCDP, CJA, AJO, etc.).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement real-time personalization strategies using customer profiles and segments.
  • Ensure platform scalability and optimal performance, optimizing data flows and system configurations for enterprise needs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues; act as a key contact for AEP platform support and maintenance.
  • Stay updated on Adobe product updates and industry best practices to enhance platform usage and efficiency.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Hands-on expertise with Adobe Experience Platform, including Real-Time CDP, Journey Optimizer, and Customer Journey Analytics.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, identity graphs, XDM schemas, and segmentation logic in AEP.
  • Experience in data engineering, platform configuration, and integration with external systems/APIs.
  • Knowledge of personalization frameworks, audience activation, and real-time decisioning.
  • Proven ability to optimize platform performance and scalability in high-volume environments.
  • Skilled in collaborating with both technical and non-technical teams to translate business needs into scalable AEP solutions.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Launch, Adobe Target, and other Adobe Experience Cloud tools (a plus).

Core Focus Areas

  • Real-Time Customer Profile (RTCP): Identity stitching, profile unification, identity namespaces, and graph relationships.
  • Segmentation Service: Creating/managing rule-based and streaming segments, audience activation, edge segmentation.
  • Data Ingestion & Sources: Batch (CSV, JSON, SFTP), streaming (APIs, SDKs), and source connectors (CRM, POS, web, mobile).
  • Experience Data Model (XDM): Schema creation/governance, merging datasets, customization of classes and field groups.
  • Data Governance: Data labeling for compliance (CCPA, GDPR), applying policies for data usage and access.

Additional Notes

  • Candidates must be able to work PST hours.
  • Proximity to a office preferred for potential onsite collaboration if needed.
  • Prior industry experience in Travel & Hospitality or Retail is a plus, but not mandatory.
