Job Description

Location: Fully Remote, must sit in Ohio, Southern Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, Tennessee, Indiana, Michigan, Kentucky, Arkansas, Louisiana

Project Duration: 18 months with potential to go permanent

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, with 3-5 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience in software development.
2. Proficiency in Python and API Development.
3. Hands-on experience with relational databases (Oracle, MSSQL) and non-relational databases (MongoDB).
4. Experience developing interfaces and custom programs for SCADA/OMS/DMS/AMI applications.
5. Experience coding solutions to automate SCADA workflows, with proficiency in communication protocols like DNP3, ICCP, Modbus, etc.
6. Preferred: Hands-on experience in the Utility Industry.

Responsibilities

• Analyze logs and system monitors to identify potential issues proactively and develop strategies to prevent problems.
• Conduct routine backups and restoration tests to validate procedures and ensure readiness for emergencies.
• Ensure reliable operation of OT applications, including communications, networking, databases, alarms, logging, and human interfaces.
• Assist in scheduling and administering patches, updates, and server configurations to minimize system downtime.

Compensation and Location

Pay: $45-$50/hr

Location: Onsite, must sit in specified states

Potential to convert to Full-Time Employee.
