Job summary

Xcel Energy is seeking an entry-level to staff-level engineer to develop expertise in ADMS-related functions and support control center operations. The role emphasizes learning, applying engineering principles, and contributing to design, testing, and documentation under supervision.

The team collaborates across SCADA, engineering, and analytics to bring distribution use cases to life. Ideal candidates hold an ABET-accredited engineering degree with some related internship or co-op exposure, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from ABET accredited curriculum.
• 0+ years relevant engineering experience.
• EIT/FE (Engineer in Training/Fundamentals of Engineering) preferred.
• Electrical engineering degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uses technical standards to perform limited-scope assignments.
• Supports development of technical documentation and testing.
• Assists with development of procedures and calculations.
• Provides field engineering oversight under supervision.
• Coordinates projects and procurement support activities.
• Supports bid/evaluation processes with basic analysis.
• Communicates with business areas and external vendors as needed.
• Mentors interns, drafters, technicians, and others when assigned.
