Job summary

Ameren Services Company in St. Louis offers a Spring Co-op opportunity focused on learning and contributing to the ADMS system with A diverse technology stack. You will assist in data modeling, reporting, and BI dashboard creation using PowerBI, SSRS, and OBIEE.

Responsibilities include supporting operators and IT staff, providing training, and contributing to system enhancements within the smart grid context. Availability January–August for the Spring Co-op.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or computer-related field.
  • Minimum GPA of 2.5.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and user support to system operators, division office workers, division engineering, and information technology personnel.
  • Provide training and documentation when needed/requested.
  • Aggregate and model data to assist in the creation of reports and dashboards in BI tools (PowerBI, SSRS, OBIEE).
  • Analyze, design, plan, test, implement and support ADMS.
  • Perform system/data analysis, design software enhancements, test system functionality, and maintain application configuration settings of the ADMS applications.
  • Enable smart grid applications including SCADA, Power Flow, Fault Locating, Switching, Outage Management.
  • Perform root cause analysis and develop action plans and priorities for backlogs; may lead implementation of plans.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
Master's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering

A diverse technology portfolio keeps the ADMS system operational, technologies include: VirtualVxRailLinux and Windows Servers, Multiple Database technologies (Oracle,SqlServer, Cassandra), Palo Alto Firewalls,MulesoftEnterprise Service Bus, Splunk SIEM, Dynatrace Application Monitoring, GIS Mapping of electrical components to their physical location in ERSI based map systems
Under supervision, the co-op will be learning and beginning to perform the following responsibilities:

Compensation:

$21.00 - $30.00
