Job summary

Wellbridge Addiction Treatment And Research is seeking an Admissions Specialist for our Calverton, NY campus in a full-time clerical role. You will engage prospective patients and families by providing information about Wellbridge programs and the admissions process, helping them navigate options and the path to treatment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree with 1–2 years of experience in a call center or behavioral health setting.
• Bachelor's degree in a human service-related field is preferred.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative professional relationships.
• Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate conversations with patients, staff, nurses, physicians, etc.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Excel, etc) or similar tools.
• Knowledge of a Customer Relationship Management System (CRM).

Responsibilities

• Effectively communicate information about Wellbridge programs and campus to prospective patients and families.
• Maintain a professional demeanor to ease anxiety and build trust with patients and treatment providers.
• Respond promptly to inquiries from prospective patients, families, and treatment providers.
• Gather demographic and insurance information and enter into EMR and CRM.
• Explain self-pay, in-network, and out-of-network rates and collect out-of-pocket costs.
• Follow prospective patients through the admissions pipeline and complete clinical intake when possible.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and referral sources regarding admissions.
• Coordinate with Clinical and Medical teams for a warm handoff after admission.
• Pursue continuing education in addiction and mental health to broaden knowledge.
• Welcome admitting patients and provide an exceptional patient experience.
