Job summary

Meadows Behavioral Health is hiring a mid-level admissions team member to guide prospective patients through the admissions process with compassion and efficiency. You will handle inbound calls, digital inquiries, and screenings, verify insurance benefits, and coordinate intake logistics to ensure timely and appropriate placements.

The role requires strong communication, empathy for distressed callers, and experience with CRM systems (preferably Salesforce).

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 1–2 years in healthcare, behavioral health, insurance, or admissions call center; 1–2 years in behavioral healthcare admissions preferred.
  • Working knowledge of behavioral health services and levels of care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle emotional or distressed callers with empathy.
  • CRM data entry and Salesforce experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Connects individuals and families with behavioral health treatment services. Guides prospective patients through the admissions process with compassion, professionalism, and efficiency. Handles inbound calls, outbound calls, and digital inquiries, conducts initial screenings, verifies insurance benefits, and coordinates intake logistics to ensure timely and appropriate placements. Independently handles inquiries, conducts full screenings, initiates insurance verification, and coordinates intake process.Essential Job Duties:Answer inbound and digital inquires with professionalism and empathy.Collect initial caller information and determines appropriate next steps.Identifies callers that meet the admission criteria for the program as well as help patients identify an appropriate level of care.Facilities the admission process into the program if the caller meets admission criteria.Maintains accurate records in the CRM system.Provides callers that do not meet the admission criteria alternate treatment options based on their required level of care.Communicates with patients and their families, providing information about the facilities and the policies of the Company.Collaborate with internal departments to schedule admissions.Manages a variety of call types with minimal supervision.Able to take calls involving mild to moderate complexity.Supports onboarding and peer learning informally.Document all interactions and ensure compliance with privacy standards.Education and Experience:High school diploma or general education diploma (GED) required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. College coursework or Addictions Certification desired.1-2 years of healthcare, behavioral health, insurance, or admissions call center experience; 1-2 years of behavioral healthcare admissions experience preferred.Working knowledge of behavioral health services and levels of care.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to handle emotional or distressed callers with empathy.Competency in data entry and CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.We are a Drug Free Company.
