Job summary

Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation in Bethel, Alaska seeks an Admissions Registrar responsible for registration, admission and scheduling across inpatient and outpatient services. You will collect demographics, input insurance data, verify eligibility and ensure timely communication with clinics about appointment status.

The role requires a high school diploma, at least one year of office and customer service experience, and basic Excel/Word skills.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year office experience.
  • One year in customer service position.
  • One year IBM or compatible computer system.
  • Basic knowledge of Excel and Word.
  • Type 40 words per minute and 10-key experience.
  • Has worked with Medicaid or commercial insurance preferably.
  • Held job for minimum of one year continuously.

Responsibilities

  • Perform registration, admission and scheduling functions for all inpatient and outpatient services.
  • Collect, update, and input patient demographics, history and insurance information into appropriate computer repository.
  • Maintain or establish patient eligibility and primary provider on all patient encounters.

Position Summary
