Job summary

Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation is seeking a motivated administrative professional to handle registration, admission and scheduling for all inpatient and outpatient services in Bethel. You will collect demographics and insurance details, input them into the system, and verify eligibility and primary provider for each encounter.

The role requires one year of office and customer service experience, basic Excel/Word skills, and accurate data entry capabilities (40 wpm, 10-key).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year office experience.
• One year in customer service position.
• One year IBM or compatible computer system.
• Basic knowledge of Excel and Word.
• Type 40 words per minute and 10-key experience.
• Has worked with Medicaid or commercial insurance preferably.
• Held job for minimum of one year continuously.

Responsibilities

• Perform registration, admission and scheduling functions for all inpatient and outpatient services provided by YKHC.
• Collect, update, and input patient demographics, history and insurance information into appropriate computer repository.
• Maintain or establish patient eligibility and primary provider on all patient encounters.
• Ensure appointment time is timely, communicates with clinics with patient appointment and registration status.
