Job summary

Streamwood Hospital, part of Streamwood Behavioral Healthcare System (SBHS), seeks an Admissions RN to support our Intake Team. This PRN role offers a chance to contribute to a dynamic organization while growing skills in behavioral health.

The Admissions Nurse coordinates all admissions, liaises with referral sources, families, payors, physicians, and hospital staff, and handles inquiries, assessments, and paperwork for admissions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school of nursing is REQUIRED.
• A minimum of one (1) year experience in a psychiatric/mental health field is preferred.
• Current RN license to practice by the Illinois State Board of Nursing is REQUIRED.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

Experience/EDUCATION

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school of nursing is REQUIRED. A minimum of one (1) year experience in a psychiatric/mental health field is preferred.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION

Current RN license to practice by the Illinois State Board of Nursing is REQUIRED. Primary Source Verification shall be required through Illinois Department of Professional Regulations.

This individual must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Diplomacy and discretion are essential, as well as excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects. Professional demeanor and appearance required.
