Requirements include a Bachelor's in Nursing and current Illinois RN license; a minimum of one year in psychiatric/mental health is preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for this position.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school of nursing is REQUIRED.
A minimum of one (1) year experience in a psychiatric/mental health field is preferred.
Current RN license to practice by the Illinois State Board of Nursing is REQUIRED.

The Admissions Nurse is responsible for coordination of all admissions and serves as liaison to referral sources, families, payors, physicians, and hospital personnel involved with each admission. The Admission Nurse is responsible for processing inquiry and referral calls responds to requests for hospital and program information, assessment, and possible admission. Responsibilities include triaging patients, completing assessments, entering calls and admissions in computer and completing all admission paperwork with patients.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

Current RN license to practice by the Illinois State Board of Nursing is REQUIRED. Primary Source Verification shall be required through Illinois Department of Professional Regulations.
