Job summary

Universal Health Services, Inc. in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our hospital-based team. You will receive nursing reports, triage walk-ins, and perform intake assessments to support seamless patient flow.

This role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, current NC RN license, CPR and CPI certifications, and a commitment to delivering safe, compassionate care in a busy psychiatric and acute care environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive nursing report for incoming patients from sending facilities
• Triage walk-in patients who arrive for assessment
• Complete intake assessments
• Contact providers to obtain and enter orders
• Distribute patient medications as ordered
• Provide supervision of patients while awaiting transfer to unit
• Demonstrate professional phone etiquette and develop relationships with clinical staff at sending facilities

Education

Qualifications

Required Experience:

• Registered Nurse
• At least one year of nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Experience in psychiatric settings strongly preferred.
