Forest View Hospital, located seven miles southeast of downtown Grand Rapids, MI, is seeking an Admissions Registered Nurse to work with ARC staff, physicians and families to ensure a seamless transition to the unit. The role may float between admissions and the floor and may involve 4–10 hour shifts or 3–12 hour shifts with late-afternoon to evening times during peak admissions.

• Current RN licensure in the state of Michigan.
• Basic understanding of psychiatric nursing theory and practice.
• 2 years of previous psychiatric clinical experience preferred.
• Must present proof of COVID-19 vaccination status or exemption.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and families to gather medical history and current health updates.
• Document patients' medical history and findings as part of admissions.
• Accompany the patient to the unit and assist with transition to the floor.
• Maintain knowledge of hospital policies and crisis assessment procedures.
• Handle admissions processes with professionalism and efficiency.
