Job summary

Universal Health Services in McAllen, TX seeks a patient registration specialist to interview patients or guardians, collect identification and demographic information, verify benefits, and arrange admissions following hospital policies.

You will handle upfront collections, obtain signatures, answer calls, assist with office tasks, and support courteous patient service while maintaining compliance with our Code of Conduct.

Qualifications

Verifies insurance/other payer benefits and performs up front collections. Determines eligibility and arranges for admission of patients to hospital following policies and procedures. Obtain signatures of individual responsible for payment and explains hospital financial obligation. Answer the telephone and direct calls accordingly. Assist with ordering office supplies as needed/requested. Assist in preparing letters and sending correspondence as requested.
