Universal Health Services (UHS) and Valley Health System in Las Vegas seek a patient registration specialist to greet, register, and document admissions with care for confidentiality and accuracy. The role supports efficient healthcare delivery in a fast-paced hospital environment.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years in hospital admissions, strong computer skills, and an understanding of HIPAA and PCI compliance, with bilingual abilities a plus.

Job Description

Responsible for greeting and registering all incoming patients and their representatives: ensuring necessary information required for admission is accurately recorded and processed while maintaining confidentiality within HIPPA guidelines. Plays a pivotal role in the operational efficiency of healthcare services delivery. This position requires individuals who are detailed oriented, adaptable and equipped with the necessary experience and skills to handle the demands of the dynamic healthcare environment.

Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience

• Minimum of two years hands on experience in a hospital registration setting or Urgent Care preferred. Possess a comprehensive understanding of the intricacies involved in patient admission.

Technical Skills

• Computer proficiency includes word processing and patient accounting system. HIPPA and PCI Compliance required. Insurance knowledge preferred.

Other

• Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide service appropriate to the age of the patient. Some positions may require accurate interpretation and translation in bilingual targeted language.
