The Patient Access Representative performs Pre-Admission and Admission services across all hospital departments. Responsibilities include accurately identifying patients, maintaining electronic medical records, collecting financial information and payments, obtaining insurance details, benefits, and authorizations, calculating co-payments and deductibles, and securing necessary signatures on consent forms. The role also involves informing patients of their rights, privacy policies, and advance care directives.
