The Office of Admissions, at the University of North Texas, is seeking to hire an Admissions Recruiter to assist in recruiting and admissions functions, under the direction of the Associate Director, Admissions Recruitment & Outreach.
This position is responsible for participation in all aspects of outreach of high school and college students. This position will provide expertise to implement, develop, and evaluate new student enrollment initiatives for assigned student groups, developing recruitment strategies, assisting the department with strategic implementation of recruitment activities by identifying strong recruitment approaches and developing and executing new outreach programs. Work involves, but is not limited to; local travel, counseling and guidance of applicants for admissions, and rendering of directional services to high school and colleges in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, with the possibility of occasional overnight, in and out of state travel.
Bachelor's degree and one year of experience in recruiting, academic advising, counseling, student services, customer service or related experience or can substitute education for experience.
Experience working in a college or university setting.
Driver's License
Communicating with others to exchange information.
Lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds.
Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
No adverse environmental conditions expected.
Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm; occasional overtime and weekends.
