Job Summary
The Admissions Processor assists with administrative tasks associated with determining the proper completion of admissions applications to the University. This position assists with resolving application processing issues that arise during the electronic submission process, and assists with updating required admission information for first-time first-year, graduate, post baccalaureate applicants. As a representative of the admissions department, this position disseminates information regarding university policies and procedures to prospective students, faculty, staff and the general public. This position regularly communicates with constituents about the admission process and admission requirements via phone, email, in person, on-campus, and at external events.
Key Responsibilities
- Verifies information received from applicants using PeopleSoft & OnBase and confirms that required supporting documentation has been received. Performs validation procedures for A-G subject requirements and reviews appeal submissions for completeness. Assists with recording degree requirements, degree audits, and posting degrees.
- Communicate with graduate advisors, credential program advisors, department personnel and applicants for the resolution of admission issues and the dissemination of information regarding University policies and procedures. Provide service and support to applicants and prospective students.

Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources.
- Hiring Range: The hiring range for this position is $4,047 (Step 1) - $4,128 (Step 2) per month commensurate with candidate's education, experience, skills, and training.
- CSU Classification Salary Range: The CSU Classification Salary Range for this position is $4,047 (Step 1) - $5,896 (Step 20) per month.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
The ideal candidate will have experience using systems such as PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, Microsoft Office Suite, Hyland OnBase, and CRM platforms like Slate, along with the ability to efficiently manage and prioritize high-volume workloads, large datasets, and complex document processing while maintaining exceptional accuracy and attention to detail. They will demonstrate strong knowledge of office operations, administrative best practices, and customer service principles, and also the ability to learn and apply complex university policies and procedures. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, effectively engaging with students, staff, and diverse communities in a professional, student-centered, and equity-minded manner. They will be a collaborative team player who builds productive relationships across functional areas, exercises sound judgment, initiative, flexibility, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment, and consistently demonstrates reliability, accountability, and discretion when handling confidential information. Additionally, they will support operational effectiveness by maintaining clear documentation of responsibilities and ensuring the integrity, quality, and usability of data through adherence to established processes and procedures.

Additional Information
CSULB is not a sponsoring agency for staff and management positions (i.e. H-1B Visas). A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for employment. CSULB will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information.
