Job summary

Distinction LLC, a Mississippi-based organization operating the St. Louis Job Corps Center, seeks qualified applicants who are enthusiastic and purpose-driven as Admissions & Outreach Counselors. You will connect with prospective students, guide them through enrollment, and serve as a trusted resource exploring opportunities.

You will build relationships, use outreach strategies, meet applicants to assess fit, and support families while leading tours and representing the program at events.

Qualifications

• passion for helping young people and ability to connect with diverse backgrounds.
• strong communication and interpersonal skills with a supportive style.
• experience in outreach, admissions, recruiting, or youth development (2+ years).
• degree or equivalent experience in human services, psychology, education, or communications.
• bilingual English/Spanish is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with prospective students and guide them through enrollment.
• Use outreach strategies from community partnerships and alumni networks to inspire future students.
• Meet with applicants, understand goals, and assess fit for the program.
• Support students and families by answering questions, addressing concerns, and providing encouragement.
• Lead or assist with center tours to showcase opportunities.
• Represent the program at community events, schools, and local organizations.
