Job description

ACU is affiliated with the fellowship of the Church of Christ. This position requires the employee to be a professing Christian and to be willing to support the Christian mission of ACU. The Admissions Advisor is responsible for supervising and leading student admissions teams for ACU's Online programs. Duties: Executing policies and procedures in compliance to all current regulatory requirements to maximize student enrollment. Provide ongoing training and feedback and performance reviews to Admission team. Provide accurate new student forecasting, group size, and execution of new student retention strategies. Provides effective communication with staff members and prospective/or current students via telephone, email and/or in person. Oversight to daily student enrollment activities for the advisors they directly supervise. Responsible for management responsibilities which include the following: planning, assigning and directing work of subordinates; appraising their performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving both student and staff concerns. Support daily enrollment advisor and student activities Verifies regular contact of students for admission documents by advising team Audits admission packets Initiatives, assists others in seeing the positive aspects of a new initiative and is seen by other members of team as a positive influence. Assists with additional work duties or responsibilities as evident or required. Maintains relationships with Program Directors of various Colleges Work to meet deadlines. This position will report directly to the Director of Enrollment Professional Development Requirements: Skills Has a high working knowledge of internal database and CRM systems including Google systems and Microsoft office products. Possess a high knowledge of the higher education market and industry Must be student and advisor-oriented and have the ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently and effectively Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively Customer service or advising experience in an educational environment entailing one one-on-one interaction is highly preferred Must be self-motivated and be able to work effectively in a team environment Training Modules Required New Manager Training Technology Tools Training (including CRM system) Others as development needs dictate

Qualifications: Professional Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution required; advanced degree desirable Minimum of 1-2 years in an Enrollment function role Demonstrable experience from successfully working in a team environment Proficient in the use of the Internet and is detail oriented. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Excellent customer service skills, as well as superior verbal and written communication skills. 1 - 2 years of previous admissions experience preferred Personal Collaborative nature Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written A desire for meaningful work and mission orientation Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills Displays public support and pride in company Keen mind, excellent negotiator with a strong work ethic; has high energy and is committed team player with excellent leadership capabilities Ability to train and develop subordinates Ability to lead and manage a team Driven and self-motivated. Physical Demands

• 1. Work is performed in an office environment; must be able to sit for long periods (6-8 hours).
• 2. Must be able to use a telephone or headset equipment and able to perform work at a computer
• 3. May be required to the manual operation of general office equipment.
• 4. Limited travel may be required – locations vary, and some overnight travel may be necessary.
• 5. Some evening and weekend hours may be required.
