Pay

$18.00 per hour

Schedule

Monday – Friday. Ideal candidates will be flexible between 8 am to 8 pm on weekdays.

Core Responsibilities

You will be one of the first points of contact as clients enter their sobriety journey. Your role is vital in their recovery as you provide safe transportation to our facilities, offer a warm and welcoming face, and encourage progress. You will also handle luggage, maintain vehicle cleanliness, keep record keeping, and coordinate with staff to meet client needs. We will train you on healthy boundaries and client safety.

Job Responsibilities
  • Operate 14‑passenger vans/buses safely and maturely
  • Transport clients and/or staff to and from Odyssey House facilities and other locations throughout Salt Lake and Northern Utah
  • Interact with clients, vendors, and others
  • Demonstrate excellent problem‑solving and safe transportation services
  • Communicate effectively and adhere to all staff dress codes
  • Drive and deliver vehicles locally or out of area following all road rules
  • Deliver passengers to appropriate destinations in a safe and courteous manner
  • Ride with or follow another driver to drop off or pick up multiple vehicles
  • Organize travel routes and maintain accurate pre‑trip and mileage logs
  • Communicate via cellular phone as needed
  • Keep vehicles clean during shift
  • Report mechanical or other vehicle issues promptly to the supervisor

Requirements
  • High‑school diploma or equivalent

  • Safe driving, good vision and hearing
  • Active Utah driver’s license for at least 3 years, satisfactory MVR (no more than 1 moving violation or at‑fault accident in past 3 years, no drug/alcohol‑related conviction in last 10 years)
  • Eligibility to work in the USA
  • Receive flu shot, TB test, and COVID‑19 vaccine (waivers available)
  • One year of sobriety, if in recovery

Pre‑Employment Requirements

Employment offers are contingent upon successful completion of required pre‑employment screenings, which may include background checks, fingerprinting, applicable sex offender registry screenings for Adult Residential roles, and other position‑related verifications. Roles requiring driving are subject to a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review and a valid Utah driver’s license.
